OTA 996 Ship Rating Upgraded

The maintenance unit of Transit-SV is implementing work to upgrade the rating of OTA-996 motor vessel (project 758B) from the M-PR2,5 class to the M-SP3,5 class. The work schedule is according to special project developed by the Astrakhan central engineering design bureau. 
The project is to modify the hull design and in a number of systems and devices as well retrofit radio navigation, rescue and emergency equipment. As of today the principal reinforcement of the vessel hull has been completed, work is underway to replace the main deck plating
